During this stressful time it is important for everyone at home to keep yourself from getting stressed , so keep your self busy by doing anything you love , which you can do at home .
Things to know
People affected - old age, with BP or Blood sugar or heart or lung problem, people with low immunity will be severe . It affects all age group but it's less severe.
Symptoms - Fever, tiredness, dry cough, ache & pain, nasal congestion, running nose, sore throat or diarrhoea .
Some people may have mild symptoms or even no symptoms.
Spread - Droplet ( saliva drops), aerosol.
On surface lifespan of the virus
Aerosal (in air) - 2 to 3 hours
Copper - 4 hours
Cardboard - 24hours
Plastic & stainless steel - 2 to 3 days
Preventive measure
1. Maintain 1-2 meter distance while talking to anyone.
2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
4. Stay home when you are sick.
5. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
6. Use mask when going out.
7. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
8. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks)
Prepare a bleach solution by mixing:
5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water (3.7 litre) or
4 teaspoons bleach per quart (0.95 litre) of water
Don’t mix bleach with other house cleaning products
Use of mask
While using mask if its cloth - change after 2-3 hours,
surgical mask - 6 hours
Don’t touch the part covering the mouth . Always remove the mask by touching the rope which is used for tying and dispose it in a closed bin or wash it in hot water and sterilise it, then wash your hands with soap and water before touching anything else.
Cloth mask has to be washed regularly and dry it in the sun.
Disinfecting Fruits and Vegetables
Do not disinfect grocery, fruit and vegetable with bleach.
Steps to Follow
- Wash hand for 20 seconds.
- Next all fruits and vegetables should be soaked in coal water with baking soda or salt or vinegar.
- Let them dry before storing it , as moisture is a good habitat for viral growth.
